Today is the last day of camp and we can hardly believe it! 10 weeks sure flew by. We would like to thank all the campers and parents who made this season fun, exciting, and an adventure! We look forward to seeing many of your faces next summer and we hope everyone has a great school year!

We finished off the camp season with our final campers of the week – congrats to all award winners! We also had a round of counselor knockout – congrats to the final winner of the summer - Penguin Counselor Jacob!

With every Tuesday comes the beloved ¨Cheer Day” – the saddest part was this was the final one! Who would win the last Cheer Day title for the summer? Congrats to the Ducks – WHO are actually carrying over their reign from last week – way to go ducks!

Today was an exciting Wednesday! We started off the day with a dance party as usual. Today we did a camper favorite “Watch Me” – one of those latest dance crazes. Later in the day we had a special guest – “Bungee Jumpers” which were a jump roping crew. Make sure to check out the pics and ask your campers how much they enjoyed it! After the show campers even got a chance to practice some of their skills and learn from the performers!

We are still busy practicing and planning for Camp Show as the excitement builds for Friday. Make sure to scroll down to the post from Monday and check below for what the various groups are to be wearing for their performance! Also make sure to ask your camper about a slip of paper that should have gone home with them having that same information.

Another Tuesday means another Cheer Day competition! This weeks competition was by far the hardest decision for the judges! The votes were split almost three ways! 2 votes for GEG, 2 votes for Penguins but 3 votes for Ducks making them the winner for this week! Congrats to all the Ducks and their counselors!

Today all the campers started practicing their dances for the camp show in the auditorium! The excitement is building for camp show this Friday at 1PM!!

The theme for this week (On With the Show) is only fitting for what is happening at the end of this week - Camp Show!

**The Camp Show will be at 1PM on Friday 8/14/15 in the Auditorium**

Please see below for instructions about what the campers are supposed to wear from Hollywood instructor Sarah:

Below is a list of the outfits each group will need to wear the day of the show. Try to follow the descriptions as best as possible using clothing you already own! Another notice will be sent out next week to each group so no rush. CAMPERS DO NOT NEED TO BRING ANY ITEMS IN UNTIL FRIDAY THE 14TH!!!

Panda (Dance With Me Tonight by Olly Murs) - Girls: dresses (red or pink if possible); Boys: Light colored button down shirt, khaki pants/shorts

Duck 1 (Surfin’ USA by The Beach Boys) – Girls: beach clothing (bathing suits with a skirt/shorts, sundress, items with beach images/prints, etc.); Boys: Bathing suit shorts, beach shirt/tank top

Duck 2 (Welcome To New York by Taylor Swift) – Girls and Boys: superstar/New York City style clothing (black pants/shorts/skirt, white top (any style), red, white, and blue accessories)

Penguin 1 (Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd) – Girls and Boys: denim shorts/pants/skirts, red, white, or blue tshirt, cowboy boots (or kind of boot or brown shoe, if possible)

Penguin 2 (Route 66 by John Mayer) – Girls and Boys: T-shirt with picture or words identifying the USA or any place in the USA (i.e. a shirt from a specific city or an attraction in a city, if possible; otherwise a red, white, and/or blue shirt), light colored shorts/pants/skirts

Dragon Hawk (Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus) – Girls and Boys: red, white, or blue outfits (next week each camper will get a specific color to wear)

GEG (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Skorge Remix) by DJ Jazzy Jeff) – Girls and Boys: Philadelphia-themed clothing (Philadelphia-themed shirt/basketball jersey, black shorts/pants, bright colored sneakers)

What a busy Friday here at Future Stars! Our morning started off like any other with the presentation of “Camper of the Week.” We then had our usual round of counselor knockout. Congrats to All Sports counselor Stuckey who won for his second week in a row! The campers really get into it as they cheer on their own counselors! This week we even had some instructors play as well as one of our camp directors Keith!

GEG spend their Art class today finishing up the construction of their city! Make sure to check out the pictures of the final project. Other groups of campers used the supplies that were sent in by parents/guardians to make musical instruments – shakers or microphones! All Sports finished up their week with a Basketball Tournament and some campers gathered to cheer them on!

Like any Friday today was also Pizza Day! We had one Panda (pictured in our album) that showed up absolutely ready to celebrate!

The championship for All Sports Basketball Tournament was held today and many campers came to cheer them on! The final game was between Cole World and Back to Back - Congrats to the winning team Cole World and great job to all players today! Check out this great shot of the winning team and their trophies!

Happy Thursday! We are making our way into the end of another week at Future Stars. Today we decided to do the banana dance all together as a group – check out the photos!

Also check out the pictures of GEG working together to build their “city” out of cardboard. They got very creative and all pitched in to make it a wonderful creation!

Though this has been more of a quiet week here at camp there have been many preparations taking place for the camp show next Friday 8/14 – Time TBD.

Don’t forget – tomorrow is Pizza Friday!!

Happy Wednesday Future Stars! We are halfway through the week! This morning was Dance Party Wednesday. This week we chose to shake our groove thing to “Shout!” All the campers has so much fun jumping around and waving their hands in the air.

Today was also “backwards day” – many campers came with shirts on backwards – some even had their pants backwards too!

Tomorrow is Banana Day and pizza money is due for Pizza Friday!
