Week 7 is here and we are now into our “Future Star Blazers” theme. We are already having a fantastic week and are looking forward to the next few days!

What a fun week!!! We had hockey week in All Sports, Karaoke Week in Hollywood and creative projects in Art and Science.  The campers started off the morning with their karaoke performances . We all met in the hollywood room , and the campers performed . In the afternoon, we watched the hockey tournament, and the campers cheered them on. It was exciting ! We ended the day with the culminating activity of the birthday  party.  We set the cafeteria up with various party games,  and the campers rotated from game to game. The last activity was a group dance including the Cha Cha Slide, Cotton-Eyed Joe and  the Cupid Shuffle. We are looking forward to preparing for our camp show, which will be held Thursday, August 20th. The theme is  Fun in the Summertime!!

This week is proving to be a great deal of fun. The theme is Adventures in the Amazon. The campers are exploring some awesome topics in Science and Computers and making creative projects in Art. In Hollywood , the groups are using Karaoke to perform songs.  They are doing a great job. What a talented group. The students are also working on their camp show theme, which will be, Sounds of  Summer.

This week was build and imagine week, and the campers had an awesome time using their creativity to explore famous painters and styles. The theme carried over the Science, Art, and Hollywood. The different classes explored various painters and styles and created projects bases on the style of the painter. Each morning we started off our day with a different group activity. Monday was dance party, Tuesday, cheer day, Wacky Wednesday, Thursday, banana dance and Friday was preparing for the Art Show.

The campers are still participating in yoga on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. They seem to be having fun with that.

The Art Show was a success. It gave the campers a chance to display their work for all of the camp to see. We set up tables up in the cafeteria and made stations with the many projects of the week in Science, Art, Hollywood, and Computers. At the end of the day, all the campers met in the cafeteria and each counselor explained their projects of the week. The campers walked around and viewed the displays. They were all particularly impressed with the PDP’s Picasso- inspired portrait. The campers got to create their own portrait using the computer. We ended Friday with camper of the week and top banana.

We plan on keeping the cafeteria set up, and we will add to the displays. On the last day of camp, the parents will be able to walk around before our camp show and view all of the fine, creative work done by their campers.

Another great day at Future Stars!  The morning started off with the Banana Dance , which always gets them energized and ready for a day of fun. The students enjoyed using their creativity for build and imagine week!!  They will be displaying some of their works  and projects in the Art Show tomorrow.  Tomorrow is also pizza day, and they always look forward to that. We will choose our camper of the week and top banana!!
